Saturday, October 28 at Holy Family Parish Hall 9:00am - 1:00pm
HFSL & St. Pius X parishioners of all ages will gather on Saturday, Oct. 28 for “Serve Our Neighbor Day,”a parish-wide community service event. This event will happen rain or shine. We’ll meet briefly at HF Hall to pray together and reflect on Christ’s call to serve our brothers and sisters in need. Then, “we’re out the door” to our local volunteer assignments for ~2 ½ hours, re-convening at 12 p.m. for a brief reflection time. Refreshments and childcare (for age 5 and under) will be provided.
You will receive a call the week before the event to confirm your attendance. Registration deadline for volunteering is Sunday, Oct. 22!
You can also help us identify elderly, ill, grieving and/or disabled residents (they don’t have to be parishioners) who need help (cannot help themselves!) raking leaves, organizing garages, doing odd jobs around the house, etc. for 2-3 hours.
Be mindful that we may not be able to take on all of the requested projects we receive and, in such cases, we will prioritize by need.
Registration deadline for submitting a project is Sunday, Oct. 15
Serve Our Neighbor Day takes place twice a year! Spring SON Day is the first Saturday in May gathering from St. Pius X Parish Hall Fall SON Day is the last Saturday in October gathering from Holy Family Parish Hall
We are looking forward to serving with you at the next Serve Our Neighbor Day!
