Thank you to all parishioners who helped us kick-off the first year of the Christ Our Hope Campaign with their donations and pledges. It has been a very tough year for so many and while supporting the campaign, we know that so many have also been reaching out to the homebound, the hungry and those affected by the Covid-19 virus. Both parishes together reached about 13% of our combined target. Pledges are faithfully being fulfilled and hopefully we will be able to extend our support through the next two years. Great appreciation is extended to the parish volunteers who spent many weeks calling parishioners to explain the goals of the campaign and answering questions about its purpose. Follow updates on the campaign at https://christourhopevt.
Essex Catholic Community will launch our local campaign on the weekend of August 22-23. Donations will support our Synod Priorities of Building a Vibrant Parish, Evangelization, and Communications. Appeal letters will be sent to parishioners late August- Early September. Parishioners volunteering to support the campaign will reach out to parishioners to answer their questions as they discern how they might contribute to this campaign to support our parish, Catholic Charities and diocesan-wide faith formation. If you have any questions, contact Father Ranges or Campaign Chair Katharin Brink at ecc.engage@gmail.com.

Now that we’ve settled into the Lenten season, all are welcome to attend this virtual (ZOOM) evening of reflection and conversation that will help us consider anew the traditional Lenten disciplines: fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. A short 20 minute reflection on each of the three Lenten disciplines will be offered by Josh Perry, Director of the Office of Worship. Between each reflection, there will be time for conversation and questions, silent prayer and guided meditation, and music.
All are welcome to join us Thursday, March 4, for an evening of prayer, reflection and adoration. Come rest in the light and the hope of Christ. Whatever the darkness you may find yourself in, come discover the hope of God. Evening will include reflections and prayers led by Deacon Phil Lawson, with music by Bill Gavin. There will be adoration, the Luminous Mysteries of the rosary and an opportunity for confession. This event will be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
Each week will focus on how to improve our relationship with God and those He places on our journey. Discover how God really loves you. Hosted by Terri McCormack and Mary Alice Walker
Each week will focus on a different encounter with Jesus as described in the Gospels which in the words of Pope Francis, “changes our lives…and fills us with joy.” Hosted by Deacon Phil Lawson. Register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82819809537
The Sacraments are at the center of the our worship. They are essential to God’s plan, but what are they? Why are they important? Who gives them to us? Where are they in Scripture? And how do we live them out? Join Seminarian Greg Caldwell to think about and reflect upon the Seven Sacraments. To get the Zoom information email Greg Caldwell at gcaldwell@saintmeinrad.edu.
